Kitsap County’s Best Places For a Family Photo Shoot
#1. Bloedel Reserve
If you haven’t been here yet, you must. Plan a day for some family pictures, but also explore a Bainbridge Island treasure. Bloedel Reserve is a 150-acre of lush forests and gardens. Voted as one of the top 10 gardens in the country, it’s impossible to not get a perfect family photo.

#2. Ueland Tree Farm
Located west of Kitsap Lake and Bremerton sits Ueland Tree Farm. This farm’s open to the public for various activities. Including hiking, biking, and horseback riding. It’s also a prime location for a fantastic family photo. Take a short hike to Dickerson Falls for a beautiful, picturesque view. Or find a rustic spot amongst the trees right off the path. #3. Poulsbo Waterfront
Poulsbo sits at the end of Liberty Bay. Enjoy views of the Olympic Mountains and the Poulsbo Marina. Both make this location perfect for a photo opportunity. Poulsbo’s called Little Norway because of its similar style to the fjords. Capture the beauty and quaintness of this little seaport town in your family photo.

Kitsap Peninsula National Water Trails has over 371 miles of shoreline. An ideal location for an action shot of the family. If you want to be adventurous, get out on the water. Climb into a kayak or hop on a paddleboard. What a great picture with the trees and shoreline in the distance.

#5. Evergreen Rotary Playground
Nothing’s better than candid shots of the kids sliding down a slide laughing and having fun. Head to the trails down near the water and snap a few pictures of the whole family while enjoying the outdoors. Once you’ve got all the photos you need at the park, you can head over to the Bremerton Marina and get a few more.

#6. Stephenson Canyon
With over 28 acres of natural forest area, you’re sure to find a special spot for some creative photos. Walk down to a shallow creek and get a photo near the water’s edge. Find the perfect spot where the sun shines through the trees for a magical feel. If everyone’s capable, be sure to hike to the top of the canyon to get a photo near the waterfall. You won’t want to miss this shot.

#7. Point No Point Lighthouse
A photo with a lighthouse in the background is about as iconic as you can get when it comes to the Pacific Northwest. This is a great location for a family picture. But it’s also the oldest lighthouse in all of Puget Sound. It for sure needs to be on your bucket list of places to visit. Head down to the sandy beaches near the water for a few shots. This 6.9-acre park nestled in Bremerton is a community P-patch garden. But it’s also a perfect location for a photo surrounded by nature and colorful flowers. Snap a few candid photos of the kids playing on the playground. Then head to the gardens for some pictures with the whole family. Plenty of trails surround the park, with a large grassy area for some creative large group photos. This is a great park to get some pictures of the kids flying kites on a beautiful day.
