It’s time to give another shout-out to a local business. This week we’re talking all about Wild Society. If you haven’t heard about these guys, you’re missing out.
To be honest, I’ve only recently learned about Wild Society and I’m so glad I did.
They’re a unique local non-profit organization that promotes wilderness education and adventures for both youth and adults. Wild Society offers backpacking camps, naturalist programs, and a variety of other events for people of all ages.
Wild Society began in 2015 with the goal of providing opportunities where people can connect with nature. Through their various year round programs and camps, they focus on bringing together people and the natural world around them.
Their programs offer hands-on, outdoor learning opportunities suitable for both kids and adults. They even offer scholarships for those that qualify.
It’s not too late to sign up for their Sea Otter Weekend in July, an overnight experience with a marine biologist. Or if backpacking interests you, check out their Intro to Backpacking. Learn the basics of backpacking with a skilled and experienced backcountry guide.
Before your summer plans are set, make sure to check out Wild Society and sign up for one of their programs. Experience the Pacific Northwest like never before.
