It’s time to give another shout-out to a local business. This week we’re talking all about Carter & Co in Port Orchard. If you haven’t been, plan a trip this week.
Anytime I get one on one with one of my three kids is time well spent. This week I was looking for some coffee (for me) and a tasty treat for my six-year-old (she deserved it). I’ve heard amazing things about Carter & Co and felt this was the perfect opportunity to give them a try.
It was well well worth the trip.
While Disneyland might be the happiest place on earth, Carto & Co is the happiest place in Port Orchard. They have a little something for everyone.
Head over for lunch and give their mac and cheese a try. If you’re looking for something a little more hearty, try one of their three signature paninis. You’ll love their in-house Smoked Pork, oven-roasted Turkey Pesto, or Chicken Gorgonzola.
Every morning they serve up a delicious spread of baked goods. Head to Carter & Co around 10 in the morning and try their fresh cinnamon rolls, pecan sticky buns, maple bacon rolls, and scones right out of the over.
Other pastry items include tarts, cheesecake, bread pudding, Nanaimo bars, and Tosca cookies.
It’s very clear that so much heart and soul go into each and every item they serve. All their food is made from scratch. You won’t find any premade fillings, buttercreams, or box cake mixes here.
These guys use the old-school methods as the cavemen used. That means measuring out the flour, butter, and sugar, and it makes all the difference.
Next time you’re needing to spend some quality time with your child, friend, spouse, or parent head to Carter & Co in Port Orchard. You won’t be sorry.
